I transcribed both Stanley and Mike solos but I did not pay attention how long it took. I'd guess a bit less than an hour for the 2 solos but I'm not sure

I just transcribed Mike Brecker's solo, it's really interesting to see what progressions he plays in his "out" phrases.

I don't like his playing too but I don't consider he's bad. I'm just not used to this king of playing, but he sure is great, just not my cup of tea

I think you just don't Understand what he is doing musically... because if you did you would not say that "he sucks" and if he wasnt musical than I doubt he would be where he is the jazz today.....He is not a free jazz artist he plays Jazz |
