The number 2 engine sucks in one bird (a crow or corvid) as the plane rotates off the runway.T.V. news reports of two herons being sucked in are wrong.Congratulations to the crew and air-traffic controllers for the calm and professional way they dealt with the situation. Sure can mate! The 757 in particular has a very good power/weight ratio...it is affectionately known by many pilots as an 'overpowered airliner' and rightly so. But I believe most twin engine Airbus and Boeings would be fine in this situation, as they are designed with these emergencies in mind.
