If you look it up, Gym Class Heroes were inspired by the song, "We Don't Have to Take Our Clothes Off" by Jermaine Stewart. Even the music in this video was influenced by the original. The idea and sound was Stewart's, and despite the fact that Gym Class Heroes changed it in their version, it is still reminiscent of said original. Also, Stewart was a male. Either way, many artists sample songs from the past, and a lot of times the song is improved upon.
