They don't want to hear it, it's just the ignorance in the younger and dumber population of Georgia that is so full of them selves. The older and mature Georgians would not act like that.

As a Georgian academic friend of mine notes, modern Georgia would not exist without the Russians. It was the Georgians who begged the Russian Tsar to protect them from the Muslim Turks. As he says, "Ask Georgians what happened to Georgian culture and identity in that large part of modern day Turkey that was historical Georgia, it doesn't exist. Russia's historical error was it treated Georgians too well and pandered to their chauvinism."

What really bothers me is that some of the younger population of Georgia, r showing their ignorance toward other nations. Looking trough whole bunch of forums and blogs. I found that the older or more mature population of Georgia, r not so ignorant and hostile towards the russian ordinary people them selves. But majority of youngsters seem to have only few things to say: Fuck RU; Russians r bitches and so forf. That is a shame on their part, which reflects on the Georgia as whole.Just a Thought

OK. I'm not going to argue with you on any of this. Had enough. This info is out there for grabs and WIKI is not the only source to rely on. You r absolutely wrong saying that I don't recognize Georgia as sep. country. I DO.And no where I mentiond That G. shold not concider those territories of land as Georgian. But if they want to be recognized, why can't you do the same, that you fighting for? Love Georgia & it's people. The customs, traditions, the culture. We should live in peace.

ok u do realize that EVERYBODY can edit info on wikipedia. Its not a reliable soure in any way. Batumi, poti caould not be given by Russia , because it was a historic part of Georgia well before Russia even existed. Or are u going to quote your wikepedia sources and claim that Georgia is not the older country than Russia?
