"Vespertilio" may be the opening score of the film, but it isn't the 'Batman Theme' of the movie. "Molossus" from the Batman Begins soundtrack would be the true theme for Batman from that film, as they use it two or three times in that film and then twice again in The Dark Knight (I know two of the scenes in BB were him driving Rachel in the Batmobile and jumping off the building after he saves Rachel and the kid in the Slums.)

Interesting note: Shirley Walker was the conductor of Elfman's original-created Batman Theme. This is perhaps why her version in the animated series sounds a LOT like Danny Elfman's version.

Mask of the Phantasm comes out as a 1st for me, no compeition, a full choir AND orchestra for the Batman theme? Um, yes please. And am I the only one who HATES the theme's of Batman Begins and Dark Knight? It just sounds so boring and generic, no real tune.

Danny elfman's theme is the best one |
