Make sure you have AS2 selected as the AS type...Goto : file -> Publish Settings -> FlashAnd make sure AS2 is selected as the actionscript version

hi I'm having trouble getting the action script to work. I've done as you've shown on the video but when I select the button and bring up my action script menu, it won't let me up anything in there. What am I doing wrong?

You import the images into flash (file, import, to stage)select the images and press F8, make sure the button radio button is selected. Press ok.You should now be able to add actions to the images

ok are you using actionsscript 3.0 because if you are theres your problem - you cannot put A.S. in buttons in A.S. 3.0 you need to go to publish -> flash -> and change as from 3.0 to 2.0
