Our future economy and our competitive position in the world will depend on inexpensive and abundant energy. Energy is the basis of all of the world's economies. The country that has the lowest cost of clean energy will have a significant leg up in the future world economy.The source of energy for most of the economies in the world today is oil,coal and natural gas. These are are purchased on a worldwide market. We all pay the going rate we all have the same basic cost of energy.

Sufficient amounts of clean energy, will probably necessitate constructing multiple large nuclear power plants. Wind, solar, geothermal, tide and wave power are all great and will probably not be enough to meet the realistic demands of our economy.

Its not because of the sun. The sun has not gotten hotter over the past four decades or so, yet that is when we have seen the greatest shift in global warming.The world's scientists are not stupid -there have been loads of studies that show the sun is not causing the current changes in the worlds climate. It is being caused because we have been taking hundreds of millions of years worth of stored carbon (fossil fuels) and burning it up over a few decades, thus releasing massive amounts of CO2

It has been exaggerated, but there is no doubt that it is a problem. We must be cautionary of our carbon emissions, but you cannot simply dismiss this.

i totally agree with you Enigmatic, the earth is damaged and needs to be healed. Only through pressure will our senators and governors act upon the issues with full attention. Only then will dramatic action against globl warming take place.People think that Global warming is a picture made up by the politics and the media, well it is not it is very true. If we do not participate in stopping this global disaster then i fear we will be living in a doomed planet in the near future.

Global warming is a scam. The elites use global warming to put fear in people so they can steal more of the peoples money via a global carbon tax. Warming is caused by the sun getting hotter and earths natural cycles. The ice caps on mars are melting as well. In the 70s scientists actually were afraid of global cooling.So, in conclusion Global Warming is BULLSHIT.

The sun is getting hotter! We will all suffer the heat death in a thousand generations or so. Carbon will be emitted from the tundra by this "natural" heating anyway, strange as it may seem. We can just hold on and hope that our scientists can find a solution to this problem or just realize that death is certain, but we can live happily in between |
