What's all this about Paul being the lead singer ? The Beatles had two lead singers. That's why they are better than other groups/bands. If you read the introduction to Ian MacDonald's Revolution I The Head You'll also see he analyses that John wrote ten more Beatle songs than Paul.

John does a double track vocal for the verses with Paul joining in now and again. If you listen carefully you can tell it's a John vocal. I used to think it was John and Paul all the way through until I read Mark Lewishon's Beatles Recording Sessions and Ian MacDonald's Revolution In The Head and then listened again.

Has anyone seen Jon Nickoll's rare version of McCartney's "I'll be on my way" on here? Its utterly enchanting. Jon played it for Paul when he met him at the Savoy Hotel
