I'd like to see more drummers man it up and not use triggers. The guy from unearth did it on one of their newer albums. By no means is he even remotely as technical or fast as many metal drummers but hey, he didn't use triggers.

I love this drummer.

It's true that Nick Barker uses them WAAAAAAAAAY too much. His kicks sound completely horrible imo.

But nick barker depends on them too much he just taps he uses no power. Dont get me wrong ges a good drummer, but he needs to become less dependant on triggers. Its not that i think triggers are cheating its just that you cant fully depend on them.

I am not a fan of Cradle of Filth (they are talented in their own right, just not to me). Is there any word, or chance, Marthus will be returning to Inner Fear? I would enjoy seeing them live.

There is not a single metal drummer that does not use triggers. They are NOT cheating contrary to popular misconception. In fact, Marthus seems to use a little less triggering than others. If you listen to his bass sound its a lot more natural than drummers like Kollias. Either way, it doesn't matter.

Haha Yeah I'll give you that for sure but his rolls are almost untouchable. He's right up there with Hellhammer and Hogland. I don't know if I spelled gene's last name wrong but who cares he's fuckin awesome. lol

Damn stright lol hes proof that anyone can play drums tiny or huge =]the only thing i didint like about his playing was he depended on triggerd bass drums too much

Adrian Erlandsson was pretty good but he wasn't near as good as Nick Barker.
