The public_html folder is just where web content is placed on this server - it may be difference on yours. I've never seen a plugin fail to appear - are the permissions on the plugin you uploaded correct?

I'm using the Filezilla FTP server as well, and I've been able to upload themes. But I'm having a real problem uploading plugins. I watched your video and I don't have a "public html" folder. Instead I uploaded a plugin from my hard drive to my wp-contents/plugins folder, but it still won't show up under my plugins in the back office of my blog. Any suggestions?

I'm not sure what you mean. I created the video as many of my users wanted me to show them how to use FileZilla to upload a plugin for their WordPress installation.

what in the world,this has nothing to do with wordpress. Yes I know you can do it with wordpress this way but it was just a scam to get people to watch your video.SHAME
