Ya this is done with a tablet. True story snuff, I have never even attempted with a mouse. Seems like a it would be impossible.

...why do people always ask that? Using a mouse is like painting with a brick.

First of all, amazing! And secondly, was this done with a tablet or by mouse?

Thanks for your critique. I really appreciate people giving honest opinions about this drawing. It was not meant to be a work of art by any means and truly doesnt have much feeling or style. Although I do have a great respect for photo-realist painters and my work reflects the impact of artists like chuck close and others. This painting is merely a sketch that I did while learning the software. I hope to learn to be much more impressionistic in my approach once i start doing some real pieces.

id say 75% of the speed paintings on youtube are either direct "imitation" from a source picture or almost imitation ( arms or legs may be shifted but otherwise same as source. ) The fact it looks so good without texture (a once over with a spatter brush wouldnt have hurt) is a testimony to the excellent job done.
