The difference between 3850 3870 is 3850 core clock speed = 670MHz3870 coreclock speed = 775MHz3850 memory clock speed = 1.66GHz3870 memory clock speed = 2.25GHz3850 math processing rate(multiply-add) = 428 GigaFLOPS3870 math processing rate(multiply-add0 = 487 GigaFLOPS. either way u cant go wrong with both of these GPU hope this helped...

no but there is a HIS Radeon HD 3850 IceQ 3 Turbo Video Card. This is a Overclocked 3850 and its really not bad! its got the same power like the 3870
