Places away from 10 that is.

Ok check this method.I'll show an example for 8x7.8 (2 places away)7 (3 places away)(7-2=5 or 8-3=5)5 (2x3=6)6 7x8= 56So mutiply the 2 by the 3 and you get 6 that's the last number. Then subtract the 2 from the 7 or the 3 from the 8 and you have 5 the first number. This is Vedic Math.I'm still gonna work on memorizing though because this is still a little slow.

Mainly the 6, 7 and 8 times table. I don't think this method is for me though, I'm just gonna have to get it memorized. I think I'm in a better position because now I want to learn and I have more understanding of how memory and learning works.

While my school used a chanting memorisation and most found it so easy I had difficulty which ruined my confidence in myself and ultimately gave me difficulty in Math. I just didn't get the numbers memorized no matter how hard I tried so I started using a times table square and stopped trying to memorize. Later I started using multiples of 2 and my fingers to calculate, I've started studying Math again after leaving school and I'm finding this is too slow I need a better way.
